There are plenty of Instagram downloaders out there, and a lot of them are cluttered with pop-ups, fake download buttons, or a form asking you to "log in" first. We built Insta Saver because we wanted the opposite: something plain that does one job and gets out of your way.
Why we built it
The idea started with a small frustration — wanting to keep a reel to watch later, and finding that every tool for it wanted an install, a sign-up, or three clicks through ads before anything happened. None of that is necessary. Saving a public post is a simple operation, so the tool for it should be simple too.
So Insta Saver is deliberately narrow. It doesn't try to be a social platform or an editor. You give it a link to something public, it fetches the best version Instagram makes available, and you download it. That's the whole product, and we'd rather do that one thing well than pile on features nobody asked for.
How it works
There's no magic to it. When you paste a link, we ask Instagram for the same publicly available media your browser would load, hand you the highest-quality version on offer, and let you save it. What we care about
Your privacy
We never ask for your Instagram username or password, because we never need them. We don't track you around the web, and we don't keep the files you download — links are short-lived and the media isn't stored on our side. You can read the specifics in our Privacy Policy.
No dark patterns
One real download button, no fake ones. No countdown timers, no "you must register to continue," no surprise redirects. If we can't fetch something, we say so plainly instead of sending you in circles.
Respect for creators
Instagram is full of people's original work. Insta Saver is meant for saving public content for personal use — offline viewing, a private archive, reference. It isn't a way to redistribute or profit from someone else's work, and it won't reach content that isn't public. Please save responsibly and follow Instagram's terms.

Insta Saver is completely free — no premium tier, no download caps, no account. Running the servers costs money, though, so we may show privacy-friendly ads (via Google AdSense) to cover it.
